Digital Playground contract starlet Jesse Jane was awarded with a trophy for Best Selling International Star - 2006 at the Scandinavian Adult Awards (SAA) on Saturday in Valby, Denmark. The annual award show took place during the country's Erotic Fair and is co-founded by adult site Side6.dk and the Danish men's magazine, Pige Special.
Each Scandinavian distribution company can nominate a selection of stars and movies for the seven categories. These nominations are then voted on by a panel of judges comprised of Side6 and Pige Special staffers.
The blonde beauty was in Denmark to accept the award on stage. "Wow! Thank you Denmark and BN Agentur," she said. "It is wonderful to experience your beautiful country and meet all of my amazing fans. I love all of you! Of course I would not be here without Digital Playground and [company founder] Joone. Thank you again!"
Both Jesse Jane and Joone raved about their appearances at the largest fair in Denmark. "[It's] a very special country with very healthy and relaxed ideals," said Joone. "It was a pleasure to get to know our distributors and make new friends."
"We went to Denmark and Sweden, it was cold but it was beautiful," added Jane. "I didn't know I had so many fans, it was crazy and the press was great."
A Danish promotional campaign in Jane's honor began over a month ago including billboards and advertisements alerting the public and the media.
