Jesse Jane Launches ‘Diosa’ Line of Pure and Flavored Tequilas

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—There’s another Goddess in town that has nothing whatsoever to do with Charlie Sheen. This Goddess is called Diosa, which is not only Spanish for “Goddess,” but is also the name of adult superstar Jesse Jane’s new line of pure and flavored tequilas, which debuted yesterday at the three-day Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show, where she “dazzled and wowed the delegates,” according to Robin Leach.

Because of her exclusive contract with Digital Playground, which owns the rights to her stage name, Jane launched Diosa using her real name, Cindy Taylor, in partnership with her husband and two other partners, reported CNBC. The line’s website enticingly promotes Diosa del Tequila as “An Orgy of Flavors.”

The idea for the line originated not only in Taylor’s plan to build a business that would support her after her porn career ends (hopefully, not anytime soon), but also in her desire to create a line of tequila that her friends could enjoy.

"I like to go out and drink with my friends," she told CNBC. "But a lot of my friends can't drink tequila because the taste is too strong. I thought, 'vodka has a lot of different flavors' so I wanted to make a tequila that's sweet."

In order to fulfill that dream, reported the business network, “For the past seven months, Taylor has been working with a distillery in the Mexican city of Tequila to create the line, which includes a blue agave silver tequila along with apple, mango, almond and café caramel flavored varieties. The drinks are expected to hit shelves in roughly two months.”

Taylor, who will appear in ads for Diosa, apparently was a huge hit Wednesday as soon as she appeared at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“The exhibit floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center came to a halt when Jesse appeared,” wrote Leach for his Vegas Deluxe blog, adding that a second mob scene ensued Wednesday evening, when Jane hosted a VIP tasting party at the Augustus Tower at Caesars Palace.

“Jesse,” wrote Leach, “who is regarded as ‘the face of modern porn’ with her numerous awards including [AVN] Performer of the Year, told me: ‘I’m really excited about this. I am committed to the drink and the ongoing publicity campaign for it. I think of myself as a businesswoman, too, and this will be the first of several branded products I want at the back of me when the onscreen sex acting eventually winds down.’”

Jane/Taylor is far from the only adult entertainment icon that is getting into the spirits business. Just two days ago, AVN reported that White Star Marketing debuted Vivid Vodka at the same Nightclub & Bar Convention, and CNBC noted in the article on Taylor that porn superstar Ron Jeremy also has entered into a licensing deal with a pair of Finnish entrepreneurs for Ron de Jeremy, which is described on the company website as “an exceptionally well-balanced 7-year old rum from Panama… hand crafted by another legend, 72-year old Cuban Master Distiller Francisco ‘Don Pancho’ Fernandez.”
