Digital Playground exclusive Jesse Jane discussed the business of being a contract performer at the first Adult Entertainment for Fun and Profit seminar on Saturday at the Warner Center Marriott Hotel.
Paul Interlandi, president of Freedom Distributing and Moonlight Entertainment, co-organized the seminar along with Gregory Piccionelli, a veteran Internet entertainment attorney.
“We did questionnaires after the seminar and they were extremely positive,” Interlandi said, noting that about 40 people attended. “Not one person felt they didn’t get their money's worth that we talked to.”
The seminar was designed to cover a range of topics related to success in adult.

“There was probably four or five couples there who were thinking about doing porn as a husband and wife,” Interlandi said. “Anita Cannibal was there, not as a performer, but as a person interested in getting involved in another side of the industry.
“We had people there interesting in starting gay Websites and gay content, people interested in producing fetish content and people there wanting to start escort services. … It was a really diverse group.”
Interlandi said that Donna of Foxy Modeling modeled for attendees during the lighting and camera technique demonstrations and Jesse Jane did an interview about being a contract star before taking questions.
Piccionelli provided an extensive legal presentation, Interlandi said, and Joey Strange’s explanation of distribution methods was also well-received by attendees.
“We had people from other production companies that came and wanted to hear some new ideas for distribution,” Interlandi noted.
