Jerry Garfinkel, head of Impressive Productions, called Gene Ross at 1 p.m., March 1, informing him that he received a death threat two hours earlier. Garfinkel has been feuding with ex-partner John T. Bone in separate incidents involving the videos Windsong and Kandid Kristen. [See accompanying stories on this site.]
Garfinkel said he can't say for sure whether there's a connection to be made between the threat and the feud. "Bone may not have anything to do with this, but this could be his scare tactics," Garfinkel said. Bone absolutely denies any involvement. Garfinkel admits that he does owe money to a number of people.
Garfinkel: "When I answered the phone I asked the caller what he wanted. He said it was none of my business, that he was going to be over in 15 minutes. 'I'm going to kill you,' the guy said." Garfinkel said he didn't recognize the voice of the caller.
The caller obviously didn't make good on his threat because Garfinkel was around to give the story to Ross.
Garfinkel said he's reported the incident to the West Hills police division.
