LOS ANGELES - Adult performer Jenny Hendrix is making her mainstream debut in the new independent film Live Evil, which will premiere Thursday night at the 2008 Valley Film Festival.
Director Jay Woefel's Live Evil will screen at 9 p.m. at the El Portal Theater in Hollywood. Hendrix plays a bartender and naked party girl in the film about vampires.
According to the film's synopsis, the vampires are having trouble surviving in a world that’s blood supply has become polluted by drugs and STDs. They have become "a desperate species of mutated, semi-humans fighting amongst themselves for the remaining humans who have pure blood."
“This is something I was working on last year. They found me when I working with Exotic Star (now A-list Talent)," Hendrix said. "[Owner September Dawn] recommended me because I’m a really good actress.”
Hendrix told AVN she has had a few uncredited appearances in different movies and TV shows such as "CSI", but Live Evil is her first speaking part.
The 22-year-old, Tampa, Fla., native started her adult movie career in 2004 and has become known for her aggressive sex scenes. In January, she was nominated for Best Tease at the AVN Awards Show.
The former Hawaiian Tropic and Rockstar Energy Drink model returned to the industry in May after taking a four-month hiatus.
“It was a mental break. Now I am back with a vengeance but a vengeance in a good way,” she said. “I came back very serious. I knew what I wanted.”
A couple of her most recent adult performances include a scene in Wicked Pictures’ new vampire thriller, The Wicked and X-Play’s Not Three’s Company XXX. She also said she is in talks to make her directorial debut later this year.
The busy Hendrix has also recently written and recorded three songs and is working on a hip-hop album. One of the songs is called “Cali Life,” which is about her crossing over into mainstream projects.
“I sing and I rap, but I mostly sing,” said Hendrix, who began singing at age 6.
She is also working on launching her official Website, jennyhendrix.com, which will feature a live webcam and a blog.
