Jennifer Dute Out On Bail

Jennifer Dute, whose October, 2002 conviction on four counts of pandering obscenity, has been released from prison after an Ohio appeals court overturned her conviction and sent the case back for a new trial with another judge.

"She's on her way down I-71 as we speak," Dute's attorney, H. Louis Sirkin, told AVN.com. "She's very happy. It's been quite an ordeal and she's very glad to be out."

"It wasn't much of a hearing," Sirkin continued. "The court reinstated her original bail, which was $5000 or 10 percent. The prosecution took no position in court about her bail, but the state has said that they're going to try to appeal the case to the Ohio Supreme Court. I have no doubt that the Ohio Supreme Court won't take the case, and the matter is re-set for a status conference on July 8. And Jennifer's a very excited woman right now."
