Jenna Jameson Signs Biggest Contract of Her Career With Vivid Entertainment

AVN Award winner Jenna Jameson, arguably the most famous female performer to work in the adult entertainment industry, today signed a new seven-year contract with Vivid Entertainment Group under which she will release at least fifteen titles that feature her as a performer, as well as paving the way for Jameson to begin directing projects.

“We feel very fortunate to be able to continue our terrific relationship with Jenna, who is by far the most popular performer in the history of adult films," said Vivid co-founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch. "She is clearly the best at what she does, just as we feel that we are the best company to distribute and market her work. It’s a perfect marriage.”

The new contract also gives her the option to appear in future sequels to the Vivid series, Where the Boys Aren’t.”

The contract also calls for her to direct an undecided number of projects that are in addition to the 15 films starring her that ClubJenna is required to turn in. Some of her directorial projects will star Jameson, some will not.

“This is by far the biggest, most important film contract I have ever signed and it is also likely to be the last in the adult sector,” said Jameson, who has been a Vivid Girl for the past three years. “I am excited about the opportunity to direct films, and I expect we will be announcing some other exciting developments in the near future.”

One of the projects that Jameson has coming up will be the big-budget remake of the classic adult film The Masseuse to be shot in Europe and the United States later this year that will be directed by Paul Thomas. Her male co-star will be her fiancé and ClubJenna CEO Jay Grdina, who performs and directs under the name Justin Sterling.

Vivid distributed the first two films produced by ClubJenna, including the studio’s first title, “Brian Loves Jenna,” which was named by AVN as the best selling and renting adult film of 2002, and its second, I Dream of Jenna another sales phenomenon in VHS and DVD.

“We’ve tracked sales numbers over the past year and see that sales of Jenna’s features have been monumental and continue to grow. It makes absolute sense for Jenna to continue her partnership with Vivid," said Grdina.

Grdina said Jameson also would continue her mainstream entertainment ventures. The ReganBooks division of HarperCollins will publish the first of a two-book deal, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star, this fall. She presently has a recurring role in the NBC political drama series Mister Sterling and has had numerous parts in music videos and mainstream movies.

Financial terms of the contract were not available.
