Jenna Jameson Honored For Voice Work in Video Game

ClubJenna namesake Jenna Jameson was honored at the G-Phoria Awards last Wednesday winning the Glow Award for Best Live Action/Voice Performance – Female at the awards ceremony at the Henry Fonda Theater.

She received the award for her performance in RockStar’s best-selling video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Jameson also accepted the award for Video Game of the Year for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

"It was an amazing ceremony and I was thrilled to have been chosen, particularly because the fans of the videos made the selection," said Jameson. Last year Jameson had characters in the #1 and #2 selling games, Grand Theft Auto and Tony Hawk 4. She is in development on her own video game for release in 2004.

G-Phoria is produced by G4, a nationally broadcast cable television network dedicated to creating a lifestyle brand that is the source of entertainment, news and information about the interactive entertainment industry, including video, computer, online and wireless games. A 90-minute special taped at G-Phoria will air on G4 August 8 at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT.

Videogames were nominated for Glow Awards by a committee comprised of video game executives, gaming journalists and celebrities who are gamers. Winners of the Glow Awards were decided by a fan voting process that took place on G4’s Website, and at G4’s kiosk at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) held in May.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City also picked up the Glow Award for Best Soundtrack and actor Ray Liotta won Best Live Action/Voice Performance Award – Male for his work on the same title.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Jamie Kennedy of JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment and both Public Enemy and Flock of Seagulls performed at the awards ceremony.
