HOLLYWOOD—The "Roastmaster General," as comedian Jeff Ross is widely known, turns his verbal flamethrower on the porn industry in episode five of his new Comedy Central show The Burn, airing Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. Pacific Time/9:30 p.m. Central.
In a pre-recorded segment shown to the live audience at the episode's taping Thursday night, Ross visits a porn set where he fires zingers at a contingent of industry pros, including performers Kristina Rose, Eva Angelina, Ryan Driller and Seth Gamble, and talent agent Mark Spiegler. Rose attended the taping in person, as well, and subjected herself to a little additional "speed roasting" by Ross.
Following the taping, Ross told AVN that the porn-jabbing segment had afforded him his first in-the-flesh brush with an X-rated shoot. "It was surreal," he said. "It was odd. Like, I'd never seen people have sex before. It was like going to the zoo or something. It was nuts, but it was super fun. I'm gonna go edit it down now and I have to jerk off between takes."
On Rose's particular portion of the segment, he quipped, "It made history—it was the first-ever vagina roast in history!" Chimed in Rose, "I know, I told my mom. She's really proud of me."
"I thought your vagina took it really well," Ross offered. "I like the whole comedy-porn marriage, it's working out. Maybe your fans will watch my show and my fans will watch your movies."
"Your fans do watch my movies," Rose shot back.
Asked whether he'd ever attended the AVN Awards, Ross said, "I've never been there. I've been invited, but I'm always afraid. Maybe now that I've been on a set, I'm acclimated to the world a little better."
"You should be my date," Rose proposed, to which he replied, "I'd keep you laughing. And you'd keep me smiling."
