Jay Ashley to Direct for Fallen Angel

When first we ran into Jay Ashley at the Sabrina Johnson gangbang last December, he looked like a man that could use either a good meal or a good video deal. Ashley would have settled for the video deal. Jay, now a father, is back in the adult business having taken time off to pursue a career as a commercial air diver. Ashley had attended college, where he graduated top of his class, to become certified. He took advanced physics and physiology classes and carried a 4.0 average in the process. Ashley was making good money in his new line of work, BUT because he has a little boy and his job was keeping him away for weeks at a time, decided to make a comeback of sorts. Ashley, who at one time had more monkeys on his back than Tarzan, said this at the time of the December interview: "Coming back I thought I was going to be persecuted. Actually it was the other way around with people saying glad to see ya. We'll get you work. It's been a really good experience. I'm more welcome now that I'm back in, then when I was in."

Well, the welcome mat was definitely out at Fallen Angel and Luc Wylder announced last week that he had signed Ashley to direct for him. Ashley will be doing an all-girl series, the title of which was yet to be determined. However, Ashley says it will be nasty and oriented towards the fetish area.

"I saw some of the work he's done and it immediately reminded me of some of the work [the late] Bruce Seven did," said Wylder. "I'm sorry, Bruce Seven, in my mind, no holds-barred, was the best girl-girl shooter in the business. Dead or alive. I saw the material Jay was working on, and he used the two things that Bruce always swore by: oversized dildos and oil. Throw those two combinations in with a bunch of pretty girls and you've got a great movie. Jay is a very talented individual and he's homeless so to speak. He came into the office looking for a place to settle. And you know we're in the process of building Fallen Angel. It takes people who are committed to that long-term vision in a company that's starting up like this. We both have the same goals. He's got kids now and wants to have some steady income. His goals met ours and he's coming on board.

Ashley said a project was in the works waiting on a title. "It will probably be shot within a month," Wylder added. "I'm trying to exceed what I've done before. When I talked to you last, this is what I was going for. I had my fingers crossed. He gave me my wish, I just have to carry it through."

"Both of us kind of represent the people who were coming up under the Bruce Sevens and Patrick Collins' of the industry," Wylder said. "Now we're coming of age. Jay's relationship with Kaitlyn [Ashley] was basically correspondent with my relationship with Arianna. They went through the same mechanism together. We learned back then how to shoot really nasty videos. And then everything kind of softened up. Then technology came in and we had digital; now we're able to get the better visuals out of the small cameras that we used for gonzo. And we want to bring some of the heat back into. And shooting for the cable market does not necessitate that you will lose all the heat in the show. We are perpetuating the deals we have with Playboy. They are picking our stuff up and we do need that cable version, but I'm not going to sacrifice the heat. The way you achieve that is you put hot, nasty girls together with oversized dildos and oil and you let the camera roll.

"I want girls who LIKE other girls, not just girls who do it for the money," Ashley added. "I've already talked to a lot of the girls in the industry, told them this is what I'm going to be doing. They've been calling left and right, 'when are you going to be doing this?' It's getting girls who really want to do it like Felecia and Misty Rain.
