James Fortune Obituary?

mail. When someone's death [note paragraph 2] is alluded to in quotation marks, bells and whistles begin to ring. Nevertheless, this is what DK had to say.

FROM D.K.: "With deep sorrow, I regret to inform you that my dear friend and business associate, adult actor/director/producer James Fortune, is dead. Mr. Fortune was a rising star in the adult entertainment community and will be greatly missed by those who had the opportunity to interact with him. Mr. Fortune was born in Santa Monica, CA and lived in numerous states and countries, including Brazil and Mexico. Before becoming an actor and director, Fortune was a corporate executive and management consultant for various Big 5 accounting firms. He studied film at Berkeley and was an actor in 10,000 Maniacs MTV video "Cherry Tree" and produced an award-winning Cable Access series on Brazil. Fortune was introduced to the industry by Ashlyn Gere, Nina Hartley and Nikki Dial. He began his career as a last-minute banger in the Houston 500. Interviewed by Ron Jeremy, he indicated "he just came for the food", but decided to jump in. This was followed by being cast in a feature by Buck Adams as a bank robber in the just released Babewatch 9 and 10 films. James went on to produce, direct and act in his own films, producing over ten scenes in the last 5 months with Kurious, Elle Divyne, Bee Spanx, Jennifer Leigh, Bobbi Bliss, Julianna Sterling, and a bunch of new girls including Southern Cumfort (aka Mercedes) and Dawn Jade. He was also writing potential screenplays for Nic Cramer, including Biovengeance, a futuristic James Bond/X-Files film with Bonita Saint requested for the lead role. Fortune's acting and directing style was unique, a combination of Jim Carrey and Randy West on testosterone, as he fucks 4-5 (oftentimes new) girls at the same time. His series was to include multiple orgy scenes with new girls in each box.

"Before his 'death', he was in the process of filming a Virtual Sex series with Elizabeth X and Julianna Sterling and was writing a screenplay called "Being Brian Surewood", a x-rated spoof of "Being John Malcovich." Sadly, all his films were destroyed with his death; only remnants will be aired on a few of the Playboy Channel's Naughty Amateur Videos starting next month. His humor, passion, creativity, and desire to elevate social awareness regarding std prevention and detection will be the legacy he left behind. He was an active advocate of AIM services, appearing in their calendar and was deeply involved with recruiting new talent in the industry and elevating their condition in the industry, helping girls begin to take control of their professional lives and create their own productions.

"With Firestorm Productions, he envisioned a talent-led company and was in the process of merger talks with numerous small independent production companies and Storm Company, a mobile live event broadcast production firm that reduced the time from video production to DVD creation to one day. With these strong partners, he clearly was on the verge of creating a company that was a "David" to the Goliaths in the industry, producing cost-effective adult digital videos with high end film effects and animation. Mr. Fortune had been working on a major project launching an internet video network in April called "AdultVideoNetwork.com" and "EroticNetwork.com", the flagship for his own produced films. This was / is to be a unique offering of television channels independently produced by numerous stars in the business, as well as small production companies. Internet business operations have been transferred to his assistant, Wagner. All inquiries should be directed to him at 213-530-3738 or email: [email protected]. Please send all remembrances c/o of Gene Ross on his website. Fortune requested that donations in his memory should go to AIM to support free std testing for those girls who can't afford it.

D.K. adds this P.S.: "His family did not specify the nature of his death (accident, mafia, intentional disappearance?) nor invited anyone in the industry to his funeral. We can only speculate at this time. I will pass on any info. as I receive it. Wagner, Fortune's business partner, has his diary, which we are reviewing and will pass onto media when we get a better understanding of what's going on....we've looked everywhere for the tapes and can't find them and assume they have been destroyed...Wagner is doing a search with his friends, the editorial bay, the safe, his car, and the garbage bins at his apartment in hopes of retrieving them to release to the public.

Gene sez: "We spoke to DK this morning and he said he couldn't talk about this situation at the moment."
