JENNA GETS HER KICKS - AGAIN

Jenna Jameson \nLOS ANGELES - It's not enough, apparently, that she wasn't good enough to be on a Las Vegas gambling chip or the Abercrombie and Fitch holiday catalogue - Jenna Jameson's boots weren't made for walking across the Grammy stage, either.

The Wicked Pictures contract star was set to appear with Kid Rock during his onstage appearance at tonight's 42nd Grammys, but the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has decided not so fast, folks. And Wicked is fuming because, it says, Jameson has been given the heave-ho but some "lesser-known" porn stars - like Raylene and Kobe Tai - will be allowed to appear.

Wicked publicist Joy King tells AVN's Gene Ross Atlantic Records was booking Jameson for the Grammys, but that NARAS president Michael Green wasn't exactly thrilled to have such a high-profile porn star on stage during the music industry's big night. King says she learned of the snub through Atlantic.

Greene was unavailable for comment when AVN On The Net called the morning of the Grammys. An office spokeswoman offered to have an NARAS representative return the call, but the call was not returned as this went to press.

Kid Rock's Devil Without A Cause album quotes Jameson on the cover; the Grammy appearance would have been their first meeting. "I'm obviously very disappointed that the Academy would choose to discriminate against Jenna because of her chosen profession and high profile success," King says. "The fact that a few lesser-known porn stars will be allowed to appear is a disturbing hypocrisy."

Jameson apparently canceled a dance week to accommodate the Grammy awards, but she put it back onto her schedule following the NARAS snub and would go out of town after all. She also plans to issue a compilation album of favorite music tracks with Go-Big Records and Wanton Records, due for summer release.

Jameson was to have appeared on a motorcycle behind Kid Rock while he performed, King says, with Kobe Tai and Raylene also booked to pole dance during Kid Rock's spot.

"We found out that (Tai and Raylene) were going to be there from makeup artists," King says. "When we found out the other girls were doing the show we spoke to Atlantic Records. They said they didn't know anything about it. Kid Rock's manager said The Academy didn't know they were porn stars. I said that was so ridiculously unfair. Because Jenna has more notoriety she gets booted. That's when it works against you."
