The man spent the next several hours trapped by the machine and taking humiliating comments from passers-by, while trying with his girl friend to pry his hand loose unsuccessfully, according to a Spanish newspaper report.
They finally called the fire department - who detached the machine from a wall and brought it to the station, with the man still attached to it.
The firemen were able to set him free by dawn, Reuters says.
