It was already the world's largest trade show of its kind, but this year it got larger, according to preliminary attendance figures. Approximately 240 companies were represented, including Adam & Eve Productions, Digital Playground, Inc., Elegant Angel Video Productions, Evil Angel Video, Hustler Video, Jill Kelly Productions, Metro Interactive LLC, New Sensations, Pleasure Productions, Private Media Group, VCA Pictures, Vivid Video, and Wicked Pictures. Novelty retailers, service organizations like PAW and AIM, and a number of internet solutions providers held out from the week's previous convention, Internext, were also represented.rnrn

The Expo culminated in the AVN Awards on January 11, which drew a sold out crowd of 3500.rnrn

"There is nothing else like the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo," said AVN publisher Paul Fishbein. "The Expo is the one place where the entire adult entertainment industry gathers each year. It is a tremendous opportunity for those in the adult trade to meet, network, do business, and have fun."rnrn

With that in mind, the 2004 Expo is already scheduled for January 8-11 at the Sands and the AVN Awards will similarly be back at the Venetian hotel and casino on January 10 next year.
