IseeMedia Comes To Adult Industry

Following a few years and what they call several hundred installations in the mainstream Internet media, IseeMedia is bringing its zoom image server technology – including three-dimensional imagemaking - to the adult Internet.

The technology – which IseeMedia also calls Dynamic Imaging Solution, and first introduced eight years ago – is capable of helping you create interactive, zoomable 360-degree panoramas, three-dimensional objects, and "immersive virtual tours," offering what the company calls a realistic, informative, and compelling visual experience. And it will be demonstrated in full at January's Internext trade show in Las Vegas.

In fact, IseeMedia spokeswoman Cindy Lake told AVN.com they went to the August 2003 Internext in Florida, after they had discovered some customers were from the adult Internet, and decided to see the industry for itself as it pondered whether to make the full business outreach.

"The biggest thing we noticed," Lake said, "is it's the same as any other business. They're trying to make money, they're trying to save money, they're trying to keep their customers and make new customers.

"And we've had several customers within the adult realm come to us saying they're using our software on their sites," she continued. "And, in looking around, we realized this is an industry we haven't really gone after, and it makes logical sense because our software is image-focused, and you can't get more image-focused than adult."

Lake said Isee Media turned to Detour Interactive's Danielle Simons and ContentBlowout mastermind and adult Internet veteran Jonathan Silverstein for guidance and have yet to be disappointed.

"We knew we needed inside help, but we didn't know the industry well enough," she said. "That's why we partnered up with Danielle, to see what our opportunities were in the industry, and kind of let her run with the internal things of the industry. Those things we didn't know. And it's impossible to learn overnight. But we saw enough of an opportunity to invest some time and money in the industry, and see what we could do with them."

The early response has been "fabulous," Lake said, enough so to prod the company to make January's Internext their major launch site, doing demos of the software from the floor. The company will host a registratrion luncheon demonstation of the technology.

The package has already won a number of awards, including Enterprise Vision Europe's Best Software Product of 2001, New Architect's Best Image Server of 2002, and IBM's 2002 IBM Server Proven award.
