This summer's Internext show is about to take off, and it is shaping up to be quite a gala affair. Held in Hollywood, Florida at the Westin Diplomat Hotel and Resort on August 13 – 15, the event is the world's largest adult Internet convention and people are already arriving to soak in the sun and prepare for the party madness.
"I got here a little early to gear up for the fun," Cybersocket president Morgan Sommer told AVNOnline.com. "The hotel is the best. It's beautiful and sunny. This is going to be a terrific affair, and we are looking forward to having fun and conducting business at this year’s summer show."
This is the third year in a row that Internext has been held at the Westin Diplomat, and show management is as excited as ever to welcome the guests and show off some of the hotel's new features, including the new Nikki Marina restaurant, which one guest described as a "high-end restaurant meets South Beach nightclub."
"The majority of the this year’s parties are actually in the hotel. Of the 13 parties scheduled, only three are outside of the hotel," stated Chad Beecher, vice president of marketing and operations for Internext.
Internext organizers predict the weather will have little affect on the show. Though reports have Hurricane Charley headed towards Florida, the eye of the storm has landed on the opposite coast of the state. Meanwhile, tropical storm Bonnie is chugging across the Gulf of Mexico on a path that would put rain toward the Florida Panhandle area. Internext organizers are optimistic, and believe neither storm will present a problem for any of the scheduled Internext events.
"We should have a great event," says Beecher. "Our attendees and exhibitors will be able to soak up the benefits of being together and conducting business as usual."
