Inari on Ed Powers

Ed Powers had Inari Vachs, inarisplayhouse.com on his radio program this past Saturday night. Scotty Schwartz appeared Friday night. We'll attempt to give you as many highlights from those two shows as time will allow in the next day or so. Vachs came on to plug her new writing spot with XXXGen Magazine [xxxgen.com]. "It's a great magazine; everyone should read it and buy it," Vachs said. "They have adult spreads, they talk about all kinds of movies. They have interviews. This next issue they interview Alisha Klass and Juli Ashton."

"When are they going to interview me?" Powers wanted to know. "I soon as I get back to my computer, I'll e-mail that we have to interview you," Vachs said.

"I'm really excited about this," Vachs added. "I'm interviewing four rock n' roll-type people a month. I just interviewed Ice T and it was amazing. This has been a wonderful thing." Vachs said Ice T was her first interview.

Vachs said some friends recommended her for the post and after speaking to the music editor, "we decided that it would be a lot of fun - I didn't think that interviewing would be so fun. I've been interviewed a few times, and I usually hate it."

Powers' show theme Saturday was about synchronicity and coincidence. Vachs was asked if she had any stories to contribute. "All my little synchronicities and coincidences are people that I met who happen to know I already know; nothing too exciting."

A caller-in said Vacks broke new ground in American Cocksucking Championship but that she should do 500 guys. "That was so underrated and such an overlooked video," the caller said. "You should get some award for it." Vachs said she did win Performer of the Year. Asked if she was going to do a bukkake video, Vachs said she hadn't planned on one. Nevertheless, Vachs was urged by the caller to break the bukkake record.

Another caller-in swore that Powers wasn't on his game and sounded like he was intimidated by Vachs. In his defense, Powers said he's been doing two scenes a day for the last two months and was numb at this point. "Nobody understands how hard it is to do that twice in one day," conceded Vachs who's made about 160 videos by her count. Vachs said she's been in the business about 2 1/2 years. Vachs says she's slowing down the pace and being picky. "I've been concentrating on my fan club together," she said. "It's been a stop and go process. I'm going to throw that out big time in March. And my website is almost finished. I've been concentrating on that, too."

Vachs says she enjoys rock climbing and hiking. "I'm not a high maintenance girl," she maintains. Vachs also said she's glad that she got into the business. "It's a great industry, a very positive industry for women to get into if they know how to handle it. You have to understand how business works and how manipulations do every day amongst person-to-person contact. You have to know what your limits are and how to stand forth. Be strong." When the subject of cable movies came out, because Vachs appeared in Powers' Tight Shots- The Movie, Vachs said that cable's one area she'd like to learn more about. Vachs said she's never seen the Tight Shots movie. "One I first got into the industry, it was a lot easier to watch my movies," she said. "I would sit there and critique them; but after awhile you don't have the time to go around and get them - you'd think they'd send them to you."

"I should make cable versions of my movies," Powers said. "But I just find that what I do doesn't lend to stopping the camera and making soft cuts."

"You need storyline - you really do," Vachs said. "I don't think like to think of myself in the Dirty Debutante line as a consummate filmmaker," Powers replied.

Vachs said she's enjoyed working with Janine, Misty Rain, Alexandra Silk. "A girl who I think is an unsung girl is Dayton Rains," said Vachs. "She's a great girl."
