Ice T's Pimpin' 101 Soundtrack to Debut This Month

The original soundtrack for Fatt Entertainment's Ice T's Pimpin' 101 will be available nationwide on June 16, Fatt Entertainment co-owner Al Thornton told AVN.com.

Ice T offers real street knowledge about the game of pimpin' and introduces sex scenes in Pimpin' 101, which has emerged as one of the top-selling tapes in the country.

Dirty South performed the title track, "Pimpin' 101," which is making its world premiere today on AVN.com through Fatt Entertainment.

"It's finally happening. We've waited a couple of months for this," Thornton said. "We have all the adult girls on the DVD. - We're bringing some of the top hip-hop artists in the country together for this. We're going to release singles from the CD."

Thornton said Fatt is focused on creating a new market for rap stars to explore the adult arena with "hip-hop sexumentary" videos.

"No bullshit, cheesy porn style music," Thornton said.

Fatt Entertainment reported that Pimpin 101 sold 25,000 units out the door thanks in part to the national media attention Ice T attracts. Even the National Enquirer jumped on the story.

Ice T and Ryan Conner appear on the front of the CD, while Ice is pictured with August and Cherie on the back of the jacket. There are 18 songs on the CD, which is being distributed by Ryko.

Executive producer Arthur Gregory, who has 10 years experience with some of the top rap artists in the game, is working with Fatt Records on the venture.

Fatt Entertainment next will shoot Knocturnal's record release party for an upcoming hip-hip sexumentary DVD. The company also has plans to shoot Cam'ron's debut adult video this summer.

"We're trying to keep it moving," Thornton said.
