Ian Aaron Named Chairman of MACC

Telecom and cable industry veteran Ian Aaron has been named chairman of the Mobile Adult Content Congress, which will host its first national meeting Jan. 24-26 in Miami.

Aaron is president and CEO of Waat Media, a leading provider of late-night entertainment for the mobile industry, and the former president of TV Guide Television Group. With on-deck agreements encompassing more than 60 major mobile carriers, Waat Media distributes images, games, video, and mobile TV to more that 750 million handsets and has been a pioneer in helping develop a ratings system for mobile content. Aaron oversees Waat’s global activities and is also responsible for strategies in the rapidly evolving mobile arena. He manages the firm’s content partnerships with internationally recognized gaming and adult and entertainment brands, as well as its global distribution through on-deck carrier relationships and off-net third party platforms.

The MACC meetings (at the Radisson Miami Hotel) will focus on responsible delivery of adult mobile content. Featured speakers include representative from Vodafone, Playboy, Virgin Mobile UK, and Ohmobile.Attendees include executives from mobile network carriers, mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), content providers, aggregators, webmasters, venture capitalists, equipment manufacturers, Internet service providers, and software developers.
