IS LIVE NET SEX PROSTITUTION?

Would you call paying for live images of erotic acts on the Internet prostitution? A Canadian court may well do that soon, as Grandstar Communications goes on trial on charges of operating a house of prostitution.

Grandstar's $15 per month members can pay a $5 per minute service by which they can converse by computer with a woman who will perform erotic acts on request that the customer can watch on screen.

As the trial began Feb. 14, evidence offered included a video of a police detective linking to the SinBin Web site, contacting a young woman who stripped and covered her body with oil.

Prosecutor Bryan Davies said in opening statements that this is different from other forms of lawfully monitored adult entertainment because, being on the Internet, it's accessible to anyone, says the Associated Press.
