Spain’s International Film Group (IFG) has signed an exclusive U. S. distribution deal with Juicy Entertainment. Juicy will release a new IFG title each month, alternating feature and gonzo, on the Hot Zips label.
IFG, headquartered in Barcelona, is one of Europe’s foremost adult producers and distributors. A previous U. S. distribution deal with Smash Pictures lasted less than a year and was aborted in 2005.
The first Hot Zips release, at the end of February, will be Nasty Dreams, directed by Narcis Bosch, with an all-star cast including Belladonna, Katsumi, Monica Sweetheart and Nacho Vidal.
It will be followed a month later by Vol. 6 of Serial Fucker, a gonzo line from actor-director Max Cortes. Their plan is to go to two Hot Zips a month, by the end of the year.
IFG’s Hot Rats was named AVN’s Best Foreign Feature for 2004 with Bosch winning Best Director – Foreign Release. He and his Crazy Bullets were award nominees in the foreign feature category again this year.
Victor Diago, IFG’s production and marketing director, said of Juicy owner Jerry Estrada, “He makes good marketing. He is a serious person. I think we found the right guy this time.”
“They have a fantastic, award-winning product,” Estrada said of IFG. The initial deal is for one year, he said, and if both parties are happy, “we’ll keep on going.”
