"I'm going to do exceedingly well having made this contact," said Bone

John T. Bone got a phone call Friday night from a friend of his who's a distributor in the industry. The friend told Bone that Bone's ex-partner Jerry Garfinkel was selling 33 masters to another distributor. Included in that package was supposed to be "10 or12 Cream masters." Bone investigated. On Saturday, Bone approached the distributor who, allegedly, had the masters. Bone asked the distributor for his cooperation to pursue criminal charges. The distributor said he didn't want to participate in any prospective police action, but the conversation continued to the point where Bone wound up making a lucrative compilations' deal with the distributor.

"I'm going to do exceedingly well having made this contact," said Bone. "The distributor gets my masters, but we both profit over this. This is a win-win situation."

Garfinkel, however, denies the entire incident, claiming he's never had any conversations with the distributor. Garfinkel: "You can quote me on it."
