Girls Gone Wild Will Be Jailed

The mayor have Panama City Beach, commonly know in spring break circles as "the other Ft. Lauderdale", has threatened to jail any women who participate in a special live pay-per-view edition of the Girls Gone Wild that is planned next Thursday at an undisclosed location.

The recent arrival of the Girls Gone Wild production crew has local official worried that they are planning to shoot the video here.

Police Maj. David Humphreys said arrests could be made for public nudity, lewd and lascivious acts and disorderly conduct. Anyone who solicits someone to violate the law also is subject to arrest, he said. Such arrests were made during spring break last year when people offered Mardi Gras-style beads for a peek of flesh.

"We know where they are and we know where they are staying," Humphreys said.

Humphreys said a representative of Francis contacted the police department recently, seeking security services while he was in town.

"We declined," Humphreys. "We don't think it's smart to do business with someone we think is going to cause us trouble."

Girls Gone Wild has been receiving friction from local officials across the nation lately. A club owner near Charlotte, N.C., is scheduled to go before a judge next Thursday, on a zoning charge stemming from a Girls Gone Wild party and taping.

Owners of another club in Fort Mill, S.C., are charged with offering adult entertainment in an area not zoned for such activity after a visit from Girls Gone Wild
