January 11th, the crack of noon - I put on my hot rod sneakers and book down to the AVN Expo to be AVN.com's war correspondent for 2003. I hit the Digital Playground poster-plastered press room to pick up my ID badge and stroll past the loooong line of fans waiting to get in. Looking back it's all a blur really - I can only remember highlights and differences from the other AVN expos - many new companies and all the old familiars being very competitive to get passing buyers' attention - notables this year were Vivid's new curtain booth - Sin City's fish tanks - Wicked's gay porn neighbors with some serious man sex on the video big screens - Sunrise Adams and Jessica Drake's girlfriend DoLorian having new and improved tits - Sophie Evans and Wendy Devine's new red hair. The funniest thing - Jules Jordan and I watched several frenzied fans taking pics and video of one Joey Silvera's Tranny stars Vanity at the backside of the Evil Angel booth thinking he was a hot chick - you gotta love Trannies! Somebody should have filmed that - those guys were so happy they had such a willing chick to take pictures of - a Tranny in heaven to say the least and two very entertained directors taking it all in.rnrn

Had the opportunity to check out a new vibe coming soon from Serenity's company Las Vegas Novelties that is USB connectable - it's a great idea - no batteries - just hook it up to your laptop in your hotel room when you're a bored and lonely hot piece of ass out there on the road. Good thinking award of the day. Ron Jeremy and new LVNi contract stars Gauge and 2003 AVN Female Performer of the Year winner Aurora Snow were all there signing for fans. Ron showed me his new line of greeting cards that are excellent - he wrote the captions himself and they are really well done. Be sure to keep an eye out for those in a store near you.rnrn
Cute and new-to-me girl at the show was Kelly Tyler signing at the New Sensations booth - An all-natural and slender brunette with a sweet personality - definitely look forward to working with her this year very soon. It was cool to see NS with a big screen this year, especially when my movie trailers were playing - "Look! There's Body Talk with Chloe Jones. By the way, thanks to AVN and Darklady for the 2004 pre-nom mention for best girl girl scene for Chloe Jones and Nikita Denise in Body Talk. Speaking of..., I stopped by the AVN booth and picked up the new issue with the Directors' roundtable article - Thanks goes out to Henri Pachard for mentioning me. rnrn

Caught up in the fever that is the Expo - I shook hands - handed out biz cards - hung out with Ninnworx' new contract star Wanda Curtis - I'm glad that Wanda is getting the push - I believe that she is the most underrated performer and hottest naked female body in the business. Thanks Wanda for hooking me up with a ticket to the awards. Some very impressive video was playing at the Ninnworx booth - Fetish from my good friend and new Ninnworx contract Director Laurent Sky. Laurent is bringing his unique eye and style to movies and that should make a lot of Directors nervous.rnrn
The last thing I remember was talking to April and Holly Hollywood at the Metro booth about how great Holly's ass looked on her promo poster - even from the front - her cheeks poked out just right from her little hot pants - funny little detail about my day but really happened. Leaping forward - I was walking down the overcrowded aisle to the entrance of the AVN Awards feeling very unknown. I wondered that even after two years of slaving over a hot stove cooking up hot, fresh porn offerings I need to have a hot chick porn star on my arm or no cameras will click. Note to self - hot chick next year. Once inside the ticket tearing gate I didn't feel so unknown - many familiar industry peeps were in hover mode around various bar stations sucking up the snacks that were swimming around on silver platters. The show kicked into high gear with Vince Neil singing the stripper anthem "Girls, Girls, Girls" with the Mark Stone band sounding better than ever.

After CrazyTown performed "Butterfly" with all da ladies and Evil Angel received Best Film, it was hugs and kisses with all the happy winners. The last thing I remember was people with shopping bags walking around nabbing up available bottles of I.D. lube off tables. I took my one gift bottle of I.D., my 2003 awards program, and gave my gift dildo to my talent table #135 neighbor who asked me for it. It's the little things that make the big night special....Waking up and seeing the AVN award sitting next to my alarm clock was the start of a brand new day - Hey...I'm an award winner....I like that! rnrn
