Hustler to Launch American Porn Idol Competition Tonight

Hustler will launch its search for the next American Porn Idol at Club Clau tonight in Cincinnati.

Hustler is using the American Porn Idol competition to find its first contract girl, who will be determined in July as the company celebrates its 30th anniversary.

"We're kicking it off here in Cincinnati," Dustin Flynt told AVN.com Thursday. "We're going into the nightlife scene. We're looking for the girl next door. We're venturing out across the county to the mainstream population in hopes to find the next Jenna Jameson."

Each stop on Hustler's American Porn Idol tour will consist of two rounds with three judges who will make comments in a similar way to the well-known American Idol judges. Ron Jeremy, Hustler Honey Suzette Spencer and Dustin Flynt will judge tonight's contest. Flynt said that Jeremy "insisted" on being the Randy Jackson-type judge "because he has positive things to say at all times and wasn't going to be critical of any of the girls."

Flynt will judge the girls in the Simon Cowell style, he said.

"I'm going to be very critical and call it as I see it, no holds barred," Flynt said. "They'll be lucky to make it into second round because I'm setting standards high. We're talking about Hollywood here, a $100,000 contract."

The first round consists of personal appearance and the ability to read a scripted voiceover. If they make it to the second round, Flynt said contestants must come up with a special fetish or do something creative with props they are presented. Flynt said he believes there is a lot of potential talent in the Cincinnati area and the Midwest.

"We're going get girls out of dorm rooms, whatever kind of lifestyle they're living and pursue a career in adult," Flynt said.

The winner of each tour stop receives $1,000 and a trip to Los Angeles for the 30th anniversary party on July 10. Hustler founder Larry Flynt told AVN.com Thursday the bash would be spectacular.

"It's costing us a quarter of a million dollars. It's going to be a huge," the Hustler founder said.

Dustin Flynt, who is Larry's nephew, echoed his uncle's sentiments.

"If you've seen (the 25th anniversary party), you won't believe your eyes on the 30th. What five years will do is amazing," Dustin Flynt said. "… This is going to be the biggest thing that Hustler's ever thrown. … It will be more entertaining than any Playboy party at a mansion could be."

The next American Porn Idol event is April 28 at the Hustler Club on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, where Jeremy, Jimmy Flynt and Theresa Flynt will be judges.

The tour will continue in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, Lexington and Louisville, Ky., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., San Diego, LA and Las Vegas. Dustin said Hustler would like to make 15 American Porn Idol stops before the final.

"In light of Hustler's 30-year anniversary, we plan to find the ultimate Hustler Honey to become a spokesmodel for Hustler and to do adult films exclusively for Hustler," Dustin Flynt said. "We're serious about this. We're just looking for that beautiful, fresh, vibrant girl that can bring something to the industry that it's missing.

"Just being a Hustler contract girl – a lot of the mainstream population would not be able to relate to that. We had to go about relating it and coming across to the general public as an idol or an icon of society and label the promotion like that. The general public can associate it with a Jenna Jameson. What that means… it's somebody that becomes famous, has celebrity status and it pays very well. That was an important aspect of the promotion."

Flynt said Hustler has been promoting American Porn Idol in print and radio ads and with street promotions. He said Hustler Hollywood is being branded in Cincinnati as the premier entertainment name to be associated with in the area.

"We've reinvented the nightlife for Cincinnati," he said.
