CANOGA PARK, CA—The highly anticipated summer blockbuster parody from Hustler Video, This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX, is available today in 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack. Fans of the original film will be astonished to see how Axel Braun, the movie's multiple award winning director, managed to accurately spoof such a brilliant '80s classic.
"After the tremendous success of the This Ain't Avatar XXX parody, I decided not to get involved in another 3D project unless I could top it," said Braun. "So when we came up with the idea of shooting a parody of Ghostbusters I knew I needed a massive budget in order to afford the extensive special effects. Thankfully, Mr. Flynt and Hustler President Michael Klein were absolutely enthusiastic about it, and fully supported me with their resources and creative input. The result is truly an incredible 3D movie that's funny, entertaining, and sexy as hell!"
Filmed on location at the Hustler Video studios, the This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX parody includes a lampoon of everyone's favorite characters from the original film played by some of the adult industry's most canny and talented performers. Evan Stone, who parodies the role of Dr. Peter Venkman, took his character to heart and truly outdid himself in this performance.
"I came from a background in acting," said Stone, "So I know what kind of effort it takes to really take on a character role—even if it's a spoof of the original. I studied the movie, and I studied the actor who played Venkman in the original film. But these aren't just skin flicks anymore. Yes, the sex is an important and crucial part of the film but it's not enough these days to just employ mediocre actors who can't deliver a line. You have to be both now: A good actor and a good performer. We're not just making dirty movies. We're making movies."
The most impressive and notable part about the This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX parody is that while this marks the second official big budget 3D feature for Hustler Video, this film focused heavily on the technology of 3D special effects. Laser beams being emitted from the Ghostbusters' proton packs, Alexis Texas being transformed into an iridescent, transparent ghost, and Joslyn James becoming a Godzilla-sized post-war MILF monster are just some of the ways in which one can see how special effects were utilized in the making of the This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX parody.
"This was our chance to really show everyone that we've stepped up the quality of our films and have really raised the bar for adult features," said Drew Rosenfeld, Creative Director for Hustler Video. Available today in 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack, the This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX parody can be watched in a variety of different ways. Pop the DVD disc into your standard DVD player, and you can see a 2D or 3D anaglyph version of the film. But if you're fortunate enough to already own a 3D TV, put the Blu-ray disc into your player, push play, and either watch it in 2D or 3D Blu-ray.
