Hustler Video announced Wednesday it has signed Italian performer/director Denis Marti to a three-year contract to direct a new line called The ProfessiAnals.
Marti's concept for the series is to combine "the heat of raw, anal gonzo movies with the visual language of music video clips." He wants to use settings that recall the mood of gangster and B-movies, but with no violence.
"I have been involved with music video production in Europe in a number of areas and it was my desire to create a sex video line that combined elements of an MTV-style music video with raw, hard sex," Marti said.
Hustler's National Marketing Director, Jimmy Flynt II, said Marti is using a blend of established performers and new faces in his female cast. Lucy Lee, Jane Darling, Sara and Laura Lion appear in the first volume along with newcomer Veronica.
Marti said his use of wider angles allows viewers "to appreciate the chemistry between the performers."
"Woody Allen once said that, 'Sex is dirty only when it's well done.' That's my goal with this series... Beautifully done, dirty porn," he said.
Marti, the 2001 winner of Best Male New Performer at Sexpo in Milan, Italy, earned four nominations for the AVN Awards in January. Among those are Best Director – Foreign Release for New Sensations' Young and Wild 2 and Male Foreign Performer of the Year.
