Hustler TV Signs Exclusive PPV and VOD Deals with Red Light District Video

Hustler TV will offer Red Light District Video titles as part of the Hustler TV Pay-Per-View (PPV) and Video-On-Demand (VOD) services, as well as a separate Red Light District VOD package to cable operators, the result of a deal that LFP Broadcasting LLC, parent company of Hustler TV, announced today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“I think that Hustler has an incredible brand name and that alone will make Hustler TV a major force in adult cable,” David Joseph, president of Red Light District, told AVN.com. “Its great to have the Red Light District brand associated with theirs and we’re looking forward to working with them on various cross-promotional opportunities.”

LFP Broadcasting now has the exclusive domestic cable rights for Red Light titles. “If you want to watch the Red Light District on cable, its going to have to be on Hustler TV. If you don’t have it, you better get it,” Joseph said.

Red Light, a gonzo and wall-to-wall video company that is probably best known by the general public for their release of 1 Night in Paris, the amateur porn tape of Paris Hilton, will have their catalog integrated into the Hustler TVPPVandVODnetworks which already offer a broad selection adult content from recognized providers including VCA Pictures and Hustler Video.

The deal does not cover Internet-based VOD.

The deal even calls for Hustler TV PPV channel to dedicate two days a week exclusively to Red Light District programming. In addition a separate, stand-alone Red Light District VOD package will be offered to operators.

“Big fans of Red Light will know those will be Red Light days and so they’ll know to tune in on those days,” explained Michael H. Klein, executive vice president of LFP Broadcasting.

“The addition of the Red Light District programming will certainly boost the demand for the Hustler TV services and provide consumers with the exclusive, high quality adult entertainment they have come to expect from the Hustler brand,” Klein said.

Hustler TV was launched in America as a VOD service in May, followed by a PPV channel in November. The exact availability of Hustler TV in terms of households capable of receiving the channel is unknown, but the startup is rapidly expanding their availability.

“Through our VOD service we already have a pretty wide exposure, for our PPV, we just launched in November and we’ve already got some good exposure,” Klein said. “We’re in talks with more operators about contracts and we’re being very aggressive our roll-out of Hustler TV PPV”

Hustler TV PPV was first launched in 2003 in Canada, where it has reportedly dominated the adult PPV market.
