HotMovies.com, a pay-per-minute, digital delivery web site, announced today a new program and website, Download-2-Own.com.
The company said that trends and emails from their customers have identified that a substantial number of adult DVD buyers prefer seeing their DVDs through digital delivery rather than by purchasing the physical product in a store, online, or though the mail.
The company’s new web site, Download-2-Own.com lets users download entire DVD movies to their computer’s hard drive so they can watch all or part of the movie whenever they want.
Until the launch of Download-2-Own.com,National A-1 Internet's premiere Pay-Per-Minute site, HotMovies.com offered 7-day and 30-day complete movie downloads. These were also downloaded to the customer’s computer hard drive, but the right to watch them expired when the pre-determined rental period ended. While customers loved the ability to download entire movies, many were unhappy when the download ended and pressed the company to find a way to offer unlimited downloads.
Currently eighty studios have agreed to participate in this new, digital delivery program. Major studios participating include VCX,Legend,Filmco, and Leisure Time.
