Hot D’Or Begins with Party on the Seine

PARIS—Hot Video magazine began its 20th anniversary celebration on Monday night with a press party on the River Palace boat that cruised down the Seine River in preparation for tonight’s Hot d'Or awards show at Salle Wagram, near the Arc de Triomphe here. (photo gallery)

Several hundred adult stars, producers and industry execs mingled, drank and sampled hor d’oeurves, while interviews, photos and some sightseeing took place.

The event, hosted by Hot Video owner Franck Vardon and editor Paul Jerome, was designed to set the stage for the company’s first awards presentation since 2001, when the awards were set at the Cannes Film Festival.  “I’m very excited to do the awards here in Paris and to have everyone attend again,” Vardon said. “The days in Cannes were great but now, for our anniversary, we must celebrate here.” This will be the company’s 11th awards.

Amongst the crowd partying on the boat were Jenna Haze and Jules Jordan, celebrating their fourth anniversary with a week in Paris; Evil Angel owner John Stagliano and general manager Christian Mann; Bobbi Starr and gal pal Dana De’Armond; Wicked darlings Jessica Drake and Alektra Blue; Adam & Eve’s Katy Zvolerin and contract star Kayden Kross, Digital Playground’s Joone with his lovely bride Brandi and contract star Hot d'Or spokesmodel Katsuni; Evil Angel producers Christoph Clark, Manuel Ferrara and Raul Cristian, who also has a line with Jules Jordan Productions; Kristina Rose; Peter Reynolds; Alexis Texas; Mr. Pete; and a host of European beauties and execs.
