Hot Body International Primed for Big Summer Online and Off - AVN Online

Online and video magazine Hot Body International made several new additions to their official Website this week and has a slew of other activities in the works including the opening of an adult stock photo and video Website and supply house.

Tuesday marked the debut of Flirts In Skirts Video DVD magazine and the DVD release of Internet Wild Women, which was previously only available on VHS. Both are available for order on the Website, where Hot Body Clubhouse members can pick up both of these titles plus an additional DVD for the members-only special price of $19.95. A free Hot Body VHS in included with each order.

In addition, Hot Body has extended their spring VHS blowout through June. All Hot Body VHS releases have been reduced to $8.95. Plus, the more tapes ordered, the better the discount.

This week also marked a dramatic increase in stock on HotBody.com. There are now 116 Hot Body VHS titles, 54 Hot Body DVD titles (20 of which feature both English and Spanish language tracks), 116 Sneaky Preview VHS titles, and 29 Sneaky Preview DVD titles.

However, what Hot Body president John Cross is most excited about is their new Direct Response campaign.

"The Direct Response program is a lucrative premium offer for a couple of very low-priced DVDs in an effort to gather new Hot Body fans that will hopefully continue to buy product," Cross told AVNOnline.com. "In our search to find something that works for Website promotion, we're curious to see whether our new Direct Response program helps us sell products in the store, or sign up for a membership, or what."

The Direct Response program begins in two weeks with 60-second spot advertisements that will appear on the Hot Body Website, in TV commercials, and on their cable network the Hot Body Channel, which can be seen on InDemand's Hot Choice Network, TVN Entertainment, DirecTV, and others.

"It's a short-form infomercial that will run on the Hot Body Channel and on the site that promotes the site and our 800 number," Cross said. "That's our major marketing push for the summer and where we're putting most of our resources."

And that's not the only addition to the Hot Body Channel. Beginning in July, Hot Body will be adding some fetish-oriented shows to the lineup, with titles such as Fetish Wrestling 1, Bunny & Dolly’s Panty Playtime, Pantyhose Nymphos 1 and Foot Teasers 1.

Hot Body also recently launched an adult stock photo and video Website and supply house at HotBodyStock.com that will service major and indie adult studios.

"It's in its second season now," said Cross. "We've taken a lot of bikini and lingerie shots over the last 15 years and always talked about starting a stock agency. We've had videos clips and photos in movies like Minority Report and Analyze That, and recently startedproviding shots to a Japanese phone system, so we knew there was an audience for this. It's the newest member of the family and it's doing nice."

They arerecently launched their Undress For Success contest, where surfers can cast a ballot for their favorite in the Voting Booth.

In addition, Hot Body International will be dedicating their next production to the men and women around the world fighting in the armed forces.

"At the end of July we are shooting Hot Body Booty Camp, our first high-definition shoot," Cross said. "From that point on we will be shooting all of our majors shows on high definition; everything except for some amateur stuff."

"As everyone else, including Playboy and Penthouse, get more nasty, we’ve stayed with the 'sexy, no sex' theme and elected not to join the hardcore arena," Cross added. "This has turned into our niche and we've built this brand into something where Hot Body has name recognition on a national basis. The overall plan is that Hot Body will become a large enough household word that we can do something on a network or premium television or perhaps feature films, using our trademark. We are on the cusp of some really good opportunities. It's year 15 and we're just continuing to grow. We're like a tank and we just keep powering on."
