Evil Angel's masterpiece The Fashionistas had already earned 10 AVN Awards from its VHS release at the 2003 show, so perhaps it was only fitting that it was honored again on Saturday night with the AVN Award for Best DVD.
John Stagliano, who directed the movie, quickly deflected any additional praise to wife Tricia Devereaux.
"I didn't work on the DVD product at all. It was Tricia. She worked very, very hard on it," Stagliano said.
He added, "Last year was the biggest night of my life. It takes a while to sink in. Ask me about this year next year..."
The Fashionistas also earned the AVN award for Top Renting Tape of 2003.
"I want to thank Belladonna and say thanks to all of our fans who watched it," Devereaux said.
In 2003, The Fashionistas won honors for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress (Taylor St. Claire) and Best Supporting Actress (Belladonna). It also captured trophies for Best Group Sex Scene, Best Anal Sex Scene, Best All-Girl Sex Scene, Best Oral Sex Scene, Best Tease Performance and Best Editing.
