Home Entertainment Events Issues Statement about Questex Filing

LOS ANGELES—The recent voluntarily bankruptcy filing by Questex Holding Company will have no impact on the 2010 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE), to be presented Jan. 7-10. 2010 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, or on any future Expos.

The 2010 Expo is in full production mode, with fan and trade registrations pacing ahead of last year and with strong support from exhibitors. The filing was a voluntary fully funded pre-packaged deal at the Questex Holding Company level that will restructure the company’s balance sheet, lowering the company’s debt levels – it will have no impact on the daily operations of the company at the operating level, and thus no impact at all on AEE. AEE will continue to be the largest adult expo in the U.S and will bring the top talent, key buyers and fans together in one location for a great four-day event.

Once the filing is completed, the company will have the opportunity to re-invest more funds into AEE since the debt ratio will be much lower. Thus, rather than having any adverse impact on future Expos, this will only serve to strengthen the event’s position in the marketplace.
