High School Porn Assignment Canceled After Complaints

Perhaps much to the chagrin of the freshmen at Brooklyn High, an assignment to research online pornography was canceled after parents complained.

The Associated Press reported that 14- and 15-year-old students in this Cleveland suburb were directed to research pornography on the Internet, list eight facts about porn, and write their personal views or any experience they had with the subject. School Superintendent Jeff Lampert told AP that the goal of the assignment was to discuss the harmful effects of pornography, and called the teacher’s motives well-intentioned, but agreed with parents that overall, it was a pretty shitty idea.

The teacher isn’t expected to be punished.
