Hercules to Tackle Porn in Christian Feature Film

DENVER, Colo.—Founded by a TV actor named Joseph Parella, whose IMDB bio indicates he became an Christian in 1998 after encountering "many shady characters in the adult entertainment business" in Hollywood, Miracle Pictures Studios out of Denver has a particular calling: "A movie studio system in His image, Serving & profitable."

According to its website, the studio also markets books, mostly short-form pieces of work sold on Amazon for Kindle, and does not have any full-length films under its belt, but that may be about to change.

In a press release issued today, Miracle Pictures Studios has announced "the pre-production of a futuristic feature comedy called Exit Interview centered around the key witness in a landmark case about the end of the porn industry."

Kevin Sorbo of Hercules fame is attached, and also serves as one of the executive producers of the film, which is slated for a 2016 release.

The story, which is loosely based on a 2011 legal thriller titled Witness Protection, "had to be revamped due to the real-life right-turn the majority of the industry took, moving to Las Vegas since 2012."

A semi-synopsis in the PR adds, "Most US-based adult content makers relocated from Los Angeles to Nevada as a result of mandatory condom use laws that went into effect in Los Angeles County. Since the novel tells the story about a key witness whose legal testimony effectively ended the porn industry, told from the hindsight of the 2030s, it had to be rewritten to remain accurate. A studio spokesperson stated the same story will still be told, but from the point of view of the characters exiting the witness protection program."

The movie is being promoted as a "futuristic feature comedy." As the Miracle Pictures Studio website also proclaims, "Expect miracles."
