NEW YORK - Former Vivid girl Heather Hunter will host a party Saturday night at The Grand (41 E. 58th St.) in New York for the release of her autobiographical novel, "Insatiable: The Rise of a Porn Star." Doors open at 10 p.m. A soundtrack of hip-hop, 80's, house and classics will be provided in the newly remodeled club.
Co-written with Michelle Valentine, "Insatiable" is available now through St. Martin's Press. Synopsizing the book on AOL's Black Voices Blogs, Hunter explained that the main character, Simone Young, "runs to the world of fame, because she has this insatiable desire to be famous and at the same time to be loved. She winds up in porn... and goes through these trials and tribulations of trying to find love in all the wrong places. At the same time, she becomes an amazing, big, top adult star and breaks into the mainstream entertainment business. It's very steamy -- very titillating."
Hunter ranks as one of the most popular black female performers in adult, and the first to be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.
