Health insurance program created - owners, employees, entertainers, independent contractors

owners, employees, entertainers, independent contractors

Mike Ross posts: "Starting May 1, 2000, The NCA's Calif Chapter (The Calif. Cabaret Association) will start working with marketing professionals to implement a statewide health insurance program accessible to cabaret owners, employees and entertainers.

We have an agreement on the table, thanks to the help of San Diego's Cheetah's. It won't be our "political focus", but we'll help sell insurance to employees and entertainers and within the next 60 days, will expand the program to create a national health insurance program. The program's beauty is two fold: Everyone can join and for every person who participates, we earn commissions that go to help fund lobbying efforts and programs.

As outlined, the cost for the three different plans will run from $90 to $125 monthly. (Prices very depending on age, health, dependents, and plan). That's right, now you can provide a group plan to your employees and independent contractors so that they and their families are covered by high quality insurance providers, namely, Blue Cross.

Historically, Blue Cross provides protection under several different plans, and those plans vary from state to state. To participate, you only need to choose the plan that best suites you and your families needs: - California Care HMO Plans \n1. Low out-of-pocket cost. Only $10 co-pay for doctor and hospital visits. \n2. Low co-pays for Prescription Drugs. $8 for generic. \n3. More than 20,000 doctors and over 300 hospitals statewide. Direct Access permits the member to self-refer to one of these specialist: Allergy, Dermatology, Ear/Nose/Throat or OB/GYN. Same low $10 co-pay. \n4. No lifetime maximums, except for calender-year limits on certain benefits such as home healthcare, physical therapy and chiropractic care.

- Deductible PPO Plans \n1. Choose from a $1,500 to a $2,250 deductible. \n2. After the annual deductible is met the plan pays 100% of expenses. \n3. Lower premiums then the co-pay plans. \n4. Preventive Care. Check-Up Centers in 100 network hospitals. Well-woman and well-baby also provided. \n5. Separate $100 deductible for Prescription Drugs. After the deductible is met, you pay 15% for generic and 35% for name brand. 6. $5,000,000 lifetime maximum

- No Deductible PPO Plans \n1. Low out-of-pocket cost. Choose from a $10 co-pay, $20 co-pay, $30 co-pay, or $40 co- pay. \n2. Low co-pays for Prescription Drugs. $10 for generic \n3. More than 46,000 doctors and 400 hospitals statewide. You have the choice to go to any doctor, but will save more by being in the network. \n4. Preventive Care . Check-Up centers in 100 network hospitals. Well-women and well-baby also provided. \n5. $5,000,000 lifetime maximum.

In the next month, every club in California will receive paperwork outlining the program. Entertainers are urged to sign up, and will have access to registration material at www.exoticdancernetwork.com .
