Harmony Films, Global Digital Broadcast Sign IPTV Deal

LONDON - Harmony Films has signed an agreement with UK-based IPTV provider Global Digital Broadcast, joining the broadcaster's lineup of 20 adult channels.

"Having our titles chosen as part of GDB's adult offerings is a tremendous testament to the quality of our productions and an opportunity to work with one of the leaders in the IPTV industry," said Jason Maskell, Harmony Films' sales and marketing manager. "They've made impressive strides to bring IPTV from an idea to a product that's available to practically anyone with a broadband Internet connection."

Founded in 2005, Global Digital Broadcast operates IPTV networks in the UK, the U.S. and the Philippines. According to a Harmony Films press release, over 100,000 GDB set-top boxes are expected to be installed in the UK over the next year.

"Harmony, over the years, has impressed me with its commitment to producing high quality movies," said Jim Deans, co-founder and managing director of Global Digital Broadcast. "Whereas other production houses have gone down the gonzo route, Harmony has consistently kept the bigger consumer picture in sight; from the caliber of its content, to the decision to embrace IPTV."

Harmony Films is distributed in the U.S. by Evil Angel.
