Happy Anniversary

Inari Vachs celebrated her ninth anniversary Tuesday getting buttfucked by Brian Surewood on the beach. It was a scene for James Avalon - one which featured tons of groping and salt water kissing. Avalon says beach scenes are his sexual fantasy but thought the surf looked a trifle murky this morning for his own tastes. Avalon, who knows riptides in a way fortune tellers know palms, saved Vach's husband, Brandon, from drowning the day before - just in time for Vachs and Brandon to celebrate their anniversary.

Avalon gets an early start this morning, and Surewood-Vachs do a From Here to Eternity romp in the surf as preliminary foreplay with Surewood finally mounting her on the wet, reflective glass of the morning sand. Vachs is a woman with a strong ass and shapely calves, and, as Surewood emerges from his bathing suit, his groin area springs an instant surfboard.

Surewood and Vachs advance through a number of progressive love moves, stopping at one point to fuck under an outdoor shower, Surewood directing his approach from the rear. Avalon was all excited that Vachs said, what the fuck to the suggestion of her doing an unscheduled anal scene. "You don't have to," he tells her. Vachs said she'd give it a shot which she did, when the scene shifted to a net hammock.

Quasarman, Mike McCormick, had this to say later about Surewood: "I bet if you shaved his beard and put him in a gym 8 hours a day for the next 20 years, he'd look like Brick Majors." Majors and Surewood, of course, being brothers.

Vachs was asked how she enjoyed her time in Mexico, particularly since she was one of the busiest girls, scenes-wise. Vachs had not attended last year's vacation, and she was a last-minute entry this year.

Vachs: "I really didn't know much about it. I was late on the roster. I was confirmed the Tuesday before we all left, I really wasn't exactly sure what to expect, and things really weren't made out to me too well. I was a little bit confused, and I might have had a little bit of an attitude the first day not knowing what to expect or what's going on, but it all worked out well."

Vachs noted that one of her scenes had to be reshot because the humidity had messed up some of the footage. Vachs said the whole idea of an adult vacation package was something she had not formulated in her head. "I know some of the guests were confused," she says. "I heard from a lot of the different girls here that a lot of the guys thought that they'd come, pay their money and it would be an orgy 24/7 and that they'd be in all kinds of chances to be in movies and everything else."

Vachs: "I know one guy who sent his test to AIM thinking that he was going to be a part of this big old gangbang. I know this other guy, Squirrel Boy, who said, 'Howard Stern made me think that this was going to be my chance to have sex with porn stars.' I said, come on, put a little bit of reality in your head and think about this."

Vach said her anniversary was nine years of being together with Brandon. "It's not the wedding anniversary but the anniversary of us getting together. That's why I made sure I wasn't going to come without him." Vachs said she and Brandon were high school sweethearts. "He's a wonderful guy and my best friend," she coos. "I'm a very, very lucky girl because I know, no matter what, he's always there for me. He's always looking out. I wish every girl had the same support as I do. I know I could not do this if I did not have him there. There's a lot of people who think the significant others of porn stars are suitcase pimps, but it's not the case."

Vachs, when she's not on a porn set, tends to dress down, sprout glasses and wear her hair clenched in a ponytail. She was asked if she were the egghead she dresses to be.

Vachs [laughing]: "Yes, I read BOOKS. I do like to ponder the intellectual."

G. Ross: "What kind of intellectual pondering do you most like?"

Vachs: "For me sociology is a big fascination, and this is great because I love to see how people interact. I love to watch the little manipulations people play with each other. And the little games they got going on. You can learn a lot about a situation just by watching which I'm sure you know. You see a lot and hear a lot, I'm sure."

G. Ross: "I am a professional observer on the human scene."

Vachs: "Normally, among so many fans I wouldn't be 'down,' per se, but the humidity is impossible. I look better being dressed down then being a made up mess."

Vachs said she got into the business being a "pornophile". "I can never remember not liking sexy things," she says. "Getting into the business was unexpected but not surprising. "I was a corporate shlogger like everyone else and just got tired."

G. Ross: "What would you have been doing if you did not become an internationally-known sex goddess?"

Vachs: "Hmmm. I like that. It's hard to say. For me, I'm a day by day person. Of course I look out for the future and make sure I'm secure, there. But I was so tired of the rat race. I knew I was not going to do that."

G. Ross: "You couldn't have been in the rat race long enough to have gotten tired of it."

Vachs: "Five years was long enough to know that I did not want to play those games. It was not conducive to anything that was positively inspiring. I can't say that I'm going to do any one thing for the rest of my life. I like to do too many different things and experience them."

"I went into a couple of modeling and casting agencies when I moved to LA, and I was treated more like a piece of meat by these people than I ever have in my entire life. I walked out of there like they had stamped USDA Grade A Choice on my ass. I said fuck this, I'm going to do a couple of photo spreads and chill out for a few weeks. I went into World Modeling and said I'd like to do a video, and, if I like it, I'll do it again. I did it. It was for Max Hardcore."

G. Ross: "Did he de-GRADE you?"

Vachs: "Oh, puh-leese. That's the thing. I love him to death. I think he's a wonderful guy. What people don't understand is that his stuff is fetish. I did some Dom work before, and I understand those things. For me it was just fun. It was all role-playing. I decided at that moment that this was a good opportunity for me. When it stops being fun anymore, I'm out."

G. Ross: "You came in nasty from the get go."

Vachs: "I haven't done anything on film that I haven't done in personal life. The only thing that I did first on the camera was when I did my eight guys. That was because it was too hard to orchestrate it at home. But everything else I've done at home. I try to tell that to the girls. Don't do anything for the first time on film because you're wasting everyone's time. But they don't understand, unfortunately. They don't understand the immense power that they have in this business. The sex industry is totally encompassed around the power that women have over their sexuality. These girls just don't know how to run it. They don't know the games they're playing, they don't know the games that are being played on them. It's all about manipulation, and in any business, there's good and there's bad. You have to work it. Any businessman is going to try to get the most for his money. Anyway that he can.

"The girls who get into this business need to know what they're getting into. If you allow yourself to be taken advantage of, that's your own fault for not taking care of your shit. And I'm critical. I'll be hard on girls. It took me a long time in my own life to get to where I am. Personally, I don't think you should be able to get into this business until you're 21. At 18, sure, you look young, kinky, nasty, horny and vulnerable And that's great for camera. But you're going through all these changes. You got people telling you how great you are and how much they like you're shit, and you get wrapped. You have to have a strong perspective so that you don't jade yourself. And I've been jaded like everyone else. "

G. Ross: "Do you get recognized on the street now?"

Vachs: "I do."

G. Ross: "Good or bad?"

Vachs: "Good so far. I haven't had a bad experience with a fan yet. And it's surprised me, especially with this trip. The first guy who approached me won his trip from Cheri [Magazine]. We're sitting at the bar, and he asked if he could introduce himself. We started talking and everything that's important about porno to me came across to him. That's great. For me when I watched porno I watched it because there's nothing more awesome than a pure sexual act. It's very inspiring, very creative. It's raw. I like to push that out when I do my scenes. I have no control over the post or how they're going to edit it. So anything that comes across as any kind of intelligent sexual act, I'm really happy about it. It inspires me to do more."

Though she did a lot of work for Elegant Angel when she first broke in, Vachs says she's never been under exclusive contract. "It would have to be a real deal, now," she says. "I'd love to get a good promotional deal. At this day and age a non-exclusive promotional deal would be good. But I don't think about that too much because the way the industry is right now, it's going through strange little changes. The Internet is changing a lot right now, come next year I think it's going to be a lot different so I'm holding off."

G. Ross: "Is your one goal to read every Andrew Vachss novel ever written?"

Vachs: "I'm working on it. His marketing company just sent me his new one."

G. Ross: "So you guys communicate?"

Vachs: "Yes we have. He's an amazing individual."

G. Ross: "How did that start? You took the name.."

Vachs: "Because I said in AVN I was an admirer of him, his marketing people picked up on it. He got in touch with me and sent me this letter thanking me for understanding his work."

G. Ross: "Have him send me an autographed eyepatch."

Vachs: "Okay, I'll tell him. So we talk on the phone for a couple of hours..."

G. Ross: "He is a great writer."

Vachs: "He's such an amazing person because his whole life is about saving children. He dedicates his whole life to it, and I have the utmost respect for that man."

Vachs says she is a free and open person and doesn't like restraints. "I don't like limitations, and I don't like when people put them on me," she says. "I think that's what's the neatest thing about being in this industry is that I can be okay with my own skin."

The adults-only vacation brought New York bus driver Smally Paulie, a relative nobody, into adult industry prominence via the Howard Stern Show when Paulie won the dubious title of world's smallest penis last year. Paulie returned to Mexico this year in a much different capacity. His penis is still the same size, but now he gets to hobnob with the porn elite. Paulie, who did some co-m.c. chores with Ron Jeremy during the vacation, had acquired a bit of a burn and started looking like a Heinz ketchup bottle by the time we caught up with him.

Paulie: I won the 1998 Howard Stern small penis contest. The grand prize was the First annual XXX-treme trip: The porn stars and the public hanging out and watching fuck scenes together. I came down here. Now I'm pretty green when it comes to the industry. I grew up with Seka and Vanessa and Marilyn and Ron. So I really didn't know anybody from the 90's to be honest with you. When I got here I knew Ron Jeremy. That was about it. But I got to meet everyone else. Day 1 was like high, how are you and handshakes. By Day 3 you were hugging and kissing everyone. It was like Gilligan's Island.

"I wanted to do a scene. I brought my test, and I got to do a blowjob scene in the dining room with Candy Vegas. But I just blanked out. I couldn't get wood. I couldn't get hard for shit. I went blind. It was kind of fucked up. It is a hard thing to do. That's the way it is. After that, I talked to Allysa Allure and did a scene with her. Next, Rod Fontana came up to me and asked me if I wanted to direct. I directed a scene with John Strong, Temptress and Doomy Moore. It was pool table scene. Rod said you get the talent, you get the location, you get this. I did it. They were pretty surprised that I pulled it all together. From that I went back on Howard and discussed the trip. I said the sky's the limit, let me see what I can get out of this. I went to AVN and asked if I could present at the awards last year. Amazingly you guys said yes. From a guy who didn't have a film out, who really did nothing except this contest, I thought that was noble of you guys.

"The difference between last year and this is the recognition. I'm getting recognized as talent in a sense. I've done five films. The girls this year have the star quality. There really are some big names here, both male and female. The guests are loving it. The scenes aren't fast and furious. The scenes are being done on a slower pace, and there's more of a relaxation. And they're making me almost a co-host with Ron. That's a big thing. And Alexandra Silk asked me if I wanted to do a series with Fallen Angel."

G. Ross: "And of course there was your big lobby make out scene here Monday night."

[Paulie was locked in a passionate embrace with Linda, one of the femmes des joie from Arizona. while loads of guys pounced on them with vidcams and 35mm's.]

Paulie an embarrassed laugh.

G. Ross: "What was that all about?"

Paulie: "One of the lovely ladies here, uh, was very accommodating to me. It was a lot of fun. The guys tried to shoot it. There was no light. But the biggest thing that's going to happen with me is that I'm going to do a Blowjob Fantasy with Barret Moore here. I knew Barret from Zane. She's a beautiful girl. I love her attitude and her smile. I didn't even know she was down here. In a sense that fantasy is going to be a reality for me. She's fantastic.
