HOSPITAL HEARING THURSDAY FOR FIRED CYBERPORN NURSES

Tomorrow, the husband and wife nurses fired from their hospital jobs over their adult Web site will know whether they're going back to work at the hospital or into court over the case.

George and Tracy Miller are scheduled to meet with a hospital arbitrator to press their case for reinstatement as intensive care nurses with back pay for the time lost since their firing. George Miller says the couple will comment after the hearing.

Last week, their attorney, Lawrence Walters, said he was not optimistic that the case could stay out of court, even though "enough pressure" could force Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital to settle.

The Millers were fired over www.touchable.com, an adult Web site featuring nude photographs of Tracy Miller and images of the couple engaging in sexually-related activity. The hospital claims the couple tried to recruit fellow hospital staffers to appear on the site in violation of sexual harassment policies, but the Millers deny that allegation.

They argue that since they posted the Web site on their own computer and on their own time, it was none of the hospital's business what they did off duty. They have said they started the site to help finance their children's future college educations.

The Millers are now full-time in the adult Web business, at least until their hospital appeal is settled one way or the other, although they say they could make as much as $100,000 in the adult Web business alone. Since their firing, racy pictures of Tracy Miller have posted on 250 other adult Web sites.
