An aspiring male performer tested HIV-positive today before he had a chance of performing in a single scene. While not disclosing the name of the individual, AIM’s executive director Sharon Mitchell felt it was important to get the word out.
“Sometimes people go ahead and shoot new talent before they get tested,” Mitchell said. “And this is why they should not do that. You really never know if they are safe until they’ve been tested.”
