HBO To Premiere ‘Cathouse: The Musical’

CARSON CITY, Nev. - HBO will ring in the New Year with the world premiere of "Cathouse: The Musical," a singing and dancing edition of the popular reality series about Dennis Hof's Moonlite BunnyRanch brothel.

Scheduled to air at 12:05 a.m. on Dec. 31, the 45-minute special features a musical revue played out between scenes in the ranch bar and bedrooms. A handful of the working girls will perform ten popular show tunes individually and collectively.

The musical show takes place onstage at a nearby Nevada theater where the girls, clad in an assortment of slinky gowns, practice and perform several numbers by such composers as Cole Porter, Jimmy McHugh, Dorothy Fields, Al Dubin and Harry Warren. Hof gets in on the act as well, donning a tux and top hat for selections with his current girlfriend, Brooke Taylor and a chorus line of Bunny Ranch girls.

The special will feature both the rehearsals and finished performances of the ten musical standards, sung by working girls such as Bunny Love, Madam Suzette and Air Force Amy.
