HBO, Hof & Sunset Thomas Strike Deal

After the success of the HBO America Undercover Special: Cathouse, HBO decided to produce not one, but two follow ups to the special, which was one of it's highest rated non-fiction shows of all time. Sunset Thomas , publisher of Cheri and VCA Ultra Contract-girl, will once again be heavily featured.

"This is a major feather in Sunset's cap. The producers at HBO were so impressed by the way she handled herself in the deluge of mainstream media activity and the viewers have been writing asking for more about Sunset and the Bunnyranch that we've decided to show them more," said Dennis Hof, owner of the Bunnyranch.

As did the original special, the new specials will utilize hidden camera footage of clientel that has already been shot. Forty segments were shot last year, and only eight of them were used for the original special. "We actually had 40 out of 45 people agree to let us shoot those," attested Hof.

The rest of the footage for the special will be shot towards the end of this month. Although Doc Johnson has already molded Sunset Thomas for a new line of novelties, they will remold her for the documentary. The HBO crew also anticipates following Thomas around as she promotes the Bunnyranch.

"They're going to capture what goes on in the lives of Sunset and some of the other girls. They also want to do an orgy, or a bachelor party or capture some of the celebs that come to the Bunnyranch," said Hof.

The first special worked out great for the Bunnyranch - over 500 girls applied for work after it aired, and business skyrocketed. One customer came in for an 18 day spending spree that cumulated in a 1.7 million dollar bill - though Hof is quick to note that you don't have to be a high-roller to come have fun at the Bunnyranch.

"We have a lot of options that are only in the couple hundred dollar range," said Hof.

The new specials are expected to air in October during sweeps weeks.
