HAVE GUITAR, WILL TRAVEL

Thousand Year Itch, or The Band Formerly Known As The Stingers, played at Paladino's in Reseda for a release party for their brand-new CD, also called Thousand Year Itch.

Among those present as the evening began were Counting Crows lead singer Adam Duritz, Rhino Records' Dave Kapp, an Extreme Associates party including Rob Black, Kristi Myst, and Tom Byron accompanied by Janine, Evil Angel vice president in charge of minutiae Jeff Marton, and AVN managing editor Ken Wood.

Thousand Year Itch vocalist Dyanna Lauren was in fine form vocally, belting out a spirited Son Of A Preacher Man that inspired one listener to jump on the dance floor and do a dervish imitation, and closing with the Beatles' Helter Skelter.

A video crew from VH-1 was recording footage and in the quiet aftermath of the hour-long set the band's manager Andy said that the CD was set to be released on Valentine's Day, and would be available at major record stores and through dyannalauren.com and thousandyearitch.com. It can also be ordered in quantity by adult retailers through Moonlight Entertainment, (818) 709-5023.
