PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Onetime AVN Best Male Newcomer Tommy Pistol sees the DVD debut today of his first feature-length mainstream effort, The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol, through Breaking Glass Pictures/Vicious Circle Films.
Pistol wrote, directed and stars in the horror-comedy (under his legal name, Aramis Sartorio), which finds him essentially playing a distorted version of himself lost on a phantasmagoric—and very bloody—journey through his own mental purgatory. He falls down this rabbit hole, so to speak, when his wife (real-life bride Gia Paloma) leaves him, their baby in tow, after his latest futile attempt at chasing his dream of acting stardom.
In his spiraling fantasy, Pistol takes brutal revenge on those who've stymied his acting ambitions, leaving seas of gore in his path. In perhaps the movie's iconic scene (seeing as how it inspired the pictured box art), he puts a cheese grater to use in a way for which it definitely was not intended. (We'll let you use your imagination.)
Gruesome Death was built around a short Pistol made in 2009 entitled Attack of the Staph Spider, which remains intact as a late segment of the picture. Adult director Eon McKai and starlet Sparky Sin Claire (using her original stage name, Daisy Sparks) appeared in the initial short, and fellow porn star Kimberly Kane joins the cast list of the expanded feature, along with Mia Tyler (daughter to Steven).
"Gruesome Death is a hit with horror and adult fans alike," Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff said. "I am very excited for the release, both for what it means for Breaking Glass and the continued evolution of adult performers in the mainstream."
Breaking Glass Pictures is also responsible for the releases of the werewolf thriller Half Moon starring two-time AVN Female Performer of the Year Tori Black and Bloodlust Zombies starring multiple AVN Award winner Alexis Texas.
The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol can be purchased at the Breaking Glass Pictures store.
