Art photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders hosted a party for the release of his documentary, Thinking XXX, Wednesday night at the Hotel Rivington in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Greenfield-Sanders was joined by Vivid Girl Savanna Samson, who co-hosted and took the occasion to introduce her new signature white wine called Sogno Due.
“I don’t drink wine anymore, but I was told by several people that Savanna’s wine was quite good,” Greenfield-Sanders told AVN.com. “It turned into a bit of a wine-tasting party.”
“The turnout was amazing,” Greenfield-Sanders continued. “It was a very eclectic group of people; from the high-end art world to the adult industry to the music industry to the corporate world.
“I walked away thinking that it couldn’t have been any better.”
According to Greenfield-Sanders, the party produced a large turnout with an array of mainstream and adult industry talent alike, including, amongst others, Ron Jeremy, Francesco Clemente, Tinsley Mortimer, Gina Lynn, Richie Rich, Chad Hart, Moby and Sharon Mitchell.
Thinking XXX is an hour long director's cut version of the HBO documentary based on Greenfield-Sander’s photo book of the same name in which he shot paired portraits of a large array of adult performers, from Nina Hartley to Jesse Jane, Sean Michaels to Aiden Shaw - straight to gay, legends to newcomers. In addition, some cultural observers such as Gore Vidal, Karen Finley, John Waters, Michael Musto, Faye Wattleton and Nancy Friday among others, offer a far ranging, perspective on pornography’s past, present, and future.
Greenfield-Sanders has 25-plus years of experience photographing musicians, artists, writers, actors and politicians. His recent mainstream work has included photographing President Bush and his wife Laura and Sen. John Kerry and wife Theresa for Good Housekeeping, as well as contributing regularly to several magazines, including Vanity Fair and Index.
