Grand Opening of Larry Flynt's Hustler Bar and Grill in San Diego

Tonight Hustler founder Larry Flynt will be attending the grand opening celebration of his new Hustler Bar and Grill, which is located next to the Hustler Hollywood store in downtown San Diego.

Flynt, who will be accompanied by the Hustler Honeys, will be available for autographs from 7-8 p.m. Larry Flynt's Hustler Bar and Grill is located at 624 E. Street. The 6,000 square-foot facility is expected to become a popular dinner spot for both tourists and local professionals. The restaurant and bar features two rooms, including the grill area that becomes a full dance facility with a VIP lounge.

"This was based on an original concept that Larry Flynt had in 1969, and that was The Hustler, which is what all of the Hustler enterprises was built on," National Marketing Director Jimmy Flynt II told AVN.com yesterday from Atlantic City.. "It all began as a lounge. As lounges have re-entered the mainstream, we decided to create a lounge that is a throwback to the 1970s with a 21st century twist that gives people a sense of nostalgia."

Flynt II said the establishment actually is made up of two bars separated by what is called "Al Capone Alley." It is decorated by memorabilia such as one of Flynt's gold-plated wheelchairs, newspaper clippings of his court battles and photographs from the magazine. The historic décor also includes a "Board of Directors" that includes some gangsters from the past.

"On top of that, the food is phenomenal," Flynt II continued. "We have everything from fettuccine to great steaks. It's an all-around incredible experience. It really was done first class."

The Hustler Hollywood store is located at 929 6th Ave.
