Got a Parent in the Adult Biz? MTV Wants You!

LOS ANGELES—If you're reading this site, there's a decent chance you know somebody whose family business falls within the realm of adult entertainment. And if that's the case, take heed: Doron Ofir Casting wants to hear all about it.

The casting company is working with the MTV series True Life to track down compelling "true life" stories—and they're figuring that some pretty interesting tales could come from individuals whose mom and/or dad earn their living by making porn, sex toys or other adult products.

Since it debuted in 1998, the MTV series has been mining the rich vein of documentary storytelling, sharing the unique experiences and perspectives of young adults with viewers. And now they want to hear from us.

Doron Ofir and MTV released this statement that describes what they're looking for:

"Sex is big business. But is it your family business? Do you have a parent who works in porn? Do they perform or produce adult films? Or do you have a parent who makes a living designing, manufacturing or selling sexy toys or other adult products and related goods and services. We are interested in hearing how your life is shaped by the career choice of your parent. Perhaps you accept and support what they do to pay the bills ... or maybe it's made your life harder and you wish your parents had a more conventional line of work. Will you follow in their footsteps? Either way, we want to help you tell your story! Children of adults working in porn must be between the ages of 16 and 27."
