Good Vibrations Seeks To Make Russian Hill Feel Sexier With New Store

Good Vibrations is opening a new store in the Russian Hill district of San Francisco, the California adult retail chain's third location. The store is tentatively slated for a January 16 opening. rnrn

"We are extremely excited about the opening of our new store," says Good Vibrations General Manager, Beth Doyle, "and look forward to delivering 'world-class' customer service to our new neighbors in Russian Hill." rnrn

"Russian Hill is an upscale neighborhood of San Francisco. It's the most affluent neighborhood we've moved into so far," added Good Vibrations publicist Andrea Burnett.rnrn

With 2,100 square feet of sales space, the new one-story store will be the largest in the chain. rnrn

The store will also hold the Good Vibrations Antique Vibrator Museum. The vibrator museum will display over two hundred items at a time from Good Vibrations' collection of over 1,000 antique sexual devices. The items will be grouped by decade.rn rn

"The seventies were best, they had some really great colors. The attachments got really wacky. They just started adding so many attachments, there a some little spiky things, and some things I don't even know how to describe - I don't even know what they used them for," Burnett told AVN.com.rnrn

Good Vibrations will also feature a quarterly erotic art exhibit at the new store.rnrn

A grand opening celebration will be held on both February 8, from 11-8, and February 9, from 11-7. San Francisco spoken word poets Deep Dickollective will perform, as will a number of DJs. Nina Hartley, Mistress Morgana Maye, and Shar Rednour and Jackie Strano of SIR productions, and other porn stars and celebrities. rnrn

The store is located at 1620 Polk Street and will be open seven days a week. An early morning/late night video drop-off box will also be available.
