SAN FRANCISCO — Good Vibrations has announced that its fourth annual Independent Erotic Film Festival (IXFF) will return in September with a week's worth of screenings and parties culminating with the premiere of the 2009 IXFF Independent Erotic Film competition at the Castro Theatre.
This year the festival scheduled for the week of Sept. 12-17 will be co-presented by Vibratex, a leader in innovative toys for grown-ups.
"Last year's festival was standing-room-only and a huge success," said Good Vibrations Festival Director Camilla Lombard. "So much so that we decided we needed to expand it into more than a screening at the Castro. We are incredibly excited about the plethora of events we have planned for this year. And we are sure that San Franciscans will be, too."
Peaches Christ of Midnight Mass fame will host the Castro Theatre premiere set in an early-1960's style cocktail party theme complete with hot jazz and cool cocktails. Staff sexologist Dr. Carol Queen will co-host; attendees will have a chance to see short films by what Good Vibration called some of the best independent erotic filmmakers of our time.
Please visit gv-ixff.org for the entire week's schedule and up-to-the-minute information. The kickoff party is schedule for 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at El Rio.
